Chigwell is a largely residential parish on the Central line's Hainault loop, known for large detached houses with private driveways along Manor Road and the High Road, alongside the Limes Farm estate of flats and maisonettes and the semi-rural edge at Chigwell Row. The local tip on Luxborough Lane takes cars only, closes on Wednesdays and Thursdays and does not accept DIY waste or rubble.
