Skip Hire prices
All prices include delivery, collection and disposal. Standard 10-day hire (extend any time with the add-on). 10-yard and larger are for light bulky waste only: no soil, bricks or concrete. Heavy waste fits in 2–8 yard skips. Click any size to book and pay online.

Skip prices shown are for south Essex and Thurrock. Chelmsford, South Woodham Ferrers and Ingatestone (CM1 to CM4): £10 more. Romford, Hornchurch, Dagenham and Rainham (RM1 to RM13): £20 more. Maldon, Burnham, Witham, Dunmow, Ongar, Epping, Harlow, Stansted, Colchester CO1 and the IG postcodes: £70 more. Anywhere else, a skip is a request for now: we confirm the price before anything is charged.
Before you book
- What it costs
- From £279 for a 2-yard to £539 for a 16-yard skip, VAT included. You pay by card when you book online. Further out it costs a little more: the booking page shows your price from your postcode.
- What's included
- Delivery, collection, 10 days' hire and licensed disposal, with a waste transfer note.
- Who loads it
- You fill it at your own pace, level with the rim. Soil, rubble and hardcore go in skips up to 8 yards; 10 to 16-yard skips take light waste only. No batteries, vapes or battery-powered electricals. Arrange separate disposal.
- When we come
- Booked Monday to Friday, except bank holidays, from the next working day. A road skip waits for the council licence, which we apply for. Monday skip deliveries must be booked before 12 noon on Friday (UK time). The coming Monday is unavailable after that and over the weekend.
- What could cost extra
- Extra weeks are £60 each. A road permit is priced on enquiry, and we confirm the cost before you book. Banned items found in the skip are left on site or charged at the disposal rate.
- After you book
- Pay by card when you book online, through Stripe's secure checkout, and your confirmation comes by email. There's no need to call us. Free to cancel until 4pm the working day before; after that £42, or £60 once the lorry has left.
Trade accounts are invoiced monthly on 14-day terms once agreed in writing. Our terms

Questions people ask
Which skip size do I need?
4-yard for small bathroom strip-outs, 6-yard is the most popular, for a typical kitchen rip-out or large garden tidy, 8-yard for full renovations or builder use. Call us if you're not sure.
Can I put it on the road?
Yes, with a council permit, which we apply for. Permits are priced on enquiry: ask us online and we'll confirm the cost for your street before you book. On your drive, no permit is needed.
What happens if I overfill?
Skips must be loaded level with the rim, because an overloaded skip can't legally be lifted. If it's overfilled, the driver levels it and leaves the excess with you.
Can heavy waste go in a skip larger than 8 yards?
No hardcore, soil, rubble, concrete, bricks or other heavy waste in standard skips above 8 yards. 10–16 yard skips are for light bulky waste only. For heavy waste, ask us about a suitable 2–8 yard skip and its loading limit.
Can I book a skip for Monday over the weekend?
No. Monday skip deliveries must be booked before 12 noon on Friday (UK time). The coming Monday is unavailable after that and over the weekend. Later Mondays can still be selected if their Friday deadline has not passed.
Can batteries go in a skip?
No. No batteries of any kind in skips, skip bags or containers, including batteries hidden in electrical items. Household and car batteries, lithium packs, power-tool batteries, e-bike batteries and vapes must be kept out. Batteries can cause fires when damaged or crushed. Can you collect batteries separately?
Contact us before booking or loading them. Send the battery type, quantity, condition and postcode, and say whether they are from a home or business. We will confirm whether a suitable separate collection can be arranged and agree any price first. It is not included in skip hire. Do not leave batteries beside the skip for the driver without an agreed separate collection. Ask us about batteries.
When do I pay?
Booked online, you pay by card there and then, through Stripe's secure checkout, and your confirmation comes by email. For a quoted job, or a booking made with our office: Payment is taken by card when we confirm your booking, by phone or a secure payment link. Trade accounts are invoiced monthly on 14-day terms once agreed in writing.
What if I need to cancel a one-off booking?
Free cancellation up to 4pm the working day before. After that a £42 call-out (£35 + VAT) is charged, or the price of your booking if that is less, and if you've already paid we refund the rest. For a skip, once the lorry has left to deliver it, the wasted journey fee is £60 (£50 + VAT) instead of the call-out. Booked as a private person, not a business? You can also cancel within 14 days after the day you book. If you didn't ask us to come within those 14 days, cancelling inside them is free. If you did ask us, cancelling before 4pm the working day before is still free. After that we have started work on your job, so you pay the late cancellation charge above, and once the job is done you can't cancel it. Our terms say how, with a form you can use.
