The job

Rubbish Clearance: about the job

Our crew does the lifting. Tell us what's going and where it is, and we'll come back with an estimate.

What's going?

Tap everything that applies. Add counts in the box below if you can.

Roughly how much?
Where is it now?

Tell us the floor: it affects the price.

Is there a lift?
Does anything need taking apart to get it out?
Is any of it loose, not in bags?
Where can we park?
Is any of this in it?

Gas bottles we can take: they're kept separate and quoted. Chemicals, fuel and asbestos we can't take, so it helps to know now.

What type of gas bottle?

Tap each type you have. They're collected separately and priced by type.

Photos that help us price it
  • One wide photo of everything that's going
  • A close-up of anything unusual or very large
  • The way out: stairs, narrow doors or tight corners

Rubbish removal in Maldon: what to know

Maldon is a market town on the Blackwater estuary with a historic High Street running down to Hythe Quay and large new estates being built along Limebrook Way and Wycke Hill as part of the South Maldon Garden Suburb. Heybridge, across the river, adds trade and industrial premises around The Causeway.

Much of central Maldon lies within a conservation area containing about 185 listed buildings. Victorian housing lines Spital Road, Mount Pleasant and Fambridge Road, larger houses stand on London Road, Victoria Road is mainly late-Victorian semi-detached, and Tenterfield Road has dense housing of around 1900. Article 4 Directions apply to several terraces of Victorian cottages. Gate Street, Silver Street and Coach Lane are narrow and winding, Market Hill and Cromwell Hill are steep, and Lodge Road is unmade, so clearing bulky items often means carrying them to wherever a vehicle can safely stop.

If there is no driveway or the street has residents' parking, send a photo of the access so we can plan where to load. Plenty of Maldon jobs are only a handful of items and bags: for those, price it yourself and book online. Bigger clear-outs with help on hand often go as wait and load.

Maldon District Council empties the grey bin every two weeks with the lid closed. Bags, sacks and items left alongside the bins aren't collected, and homes on sacks can put out four at most. Anything that can't go out with the rubbish, we can clear from Maldon in one visit. The council's bin rules.

Maldon District Council recorded 383 fly-tipping incidents in 2024/25, up from 364 the year before, by the government's own figures. It can fine a household £600 for giving waste to someone who isn't licensed to carry it. Our waste carrier number is CB/DU308513, on the Environment Agency's public register.

Typical Maldon jobs. House clearances in the older streets around the High Street; landscaping and renovation waste from the new estates off Limebrook Way; trade waste from businesses around The Causeway and Wycke Hill Business Park.
